2020 Harare ATU - ITU Development Continental Camp

Camp aim
The Camp is designed to prepare potential Under 23 & Elite athletes for targeted future support and qualification for the Paris Olympic Games, 2024.

Selection
National Federations of Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, Tunisia and Zimbabwe can send one Junior Male and one Junior Female athlete, plus one Coach to the Camp. Athletes of the listed NFs:
- are attaining the 2019 ATU Junior Ranking
- are repeatedly participating in major African Events during 2018 and 2019.
The final selection of the Athletes (1 x Male/1 x Female & 1 x Coach) is at the discretion of the National Federations based on the budget limitation on participation numbers. National Federations may however send more Junior athletes to compete at the related 2020 Troutbeck ATU Triathlon Junior African Cup - there is no restriction in this regard. Entries for the competition are via ITU entries as usual.

Departure to 2020 Troutbeck ATU Triathlon Junior African Cup: 15:00 Thursday 20 February 2020
Course familiarisations, registration & briefing: Friday 21 February 2020
2020 Troutbeck ATU Triathlon Junior African Cup: Saturday 22 February 2020
Departures from Troutbeck to Harare International Airport: Sunday 23 February 2020

Participation deadline
Please note that your Athlete and Coach names, passport scans and email addresses of all need to be submitted to rick.fulton@atu.triathlon.org no later than 22 January 2020. This also coincides with the opening of the ITU entries for the 2020 Troutbeck ATU Triathlon Junior African Cup.

Funding detail
The following funding support will be forthcoming to participating National Federations:
- Athlete travel subsidy:
= 1 Male athlete, 1 Female athlete & 1 Coach – USD 1,000 per National Federation
= 1 athlete & 1 Coach – USD 750 per National Federation
- All accommodation, meals, venue hire/use and transport – Harare, all inclusive
- All accommodation, meals, transfers, event entry fee and post Event Evening Dinner – Troutbeck, all inclusive.

Camp location
HARARE
The Camp will be located in the suburban areas of the City of Harare, with all accommodation and meals being centralized at one venue. Easy access to safe, good quality training facilities for swimming, biking, running as well as use of a gymnasium and a lecture facility. Access as required to physio, medical and a bike mechanic services. Please ensure that your Athletes & Coach have adequate Medical Insurance cover in case of emergencies.
TROUTBECK
The Athletes Guide is also attached to assist with your preparations for the Troutbeck event.

Other information
Please also advise as to any specific dietary requirements for both the Harare and Troutbeck sections of the Camp/event.
More information will follow from the Head Coaches with regard to detail for equipment and the proposed schedule for the Camp duration. Travelling Coaches will also be integrated and involved in all of the sessions alongside their athletes and also with the entire Group.

Please forward scans of the Passports of the Athletes & Coaches travelling to info@zimtri.org so that the necessary invitation letters can be forwarded to you if necessary.
