Activator

Activator Programmes

One of these initiatives is the education of Activators, who have the basic skills to grow and develop the sport within their National Federation and in their area. These individuals are dedicated to bring the sport to their local communities and to lay down the foundations of future events, groups of Triathlon enthusiasts and clubs. They are the pioneers in their regions who initiate Triathlon related activities and coordinate those with their National Federations.

Facilitators focus on helping Activators to develop the skills to plan and deliver a local event on day 4 of the course as an outcome. This Triathlon (or multi-sport) event is for the local community. The aim is to practice the skills learned during the course and to create an event which can become a regular occurrence and allow the development and progression of the sport for the benefit of the community in the long term.
