The Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) and Triathlon Australia (TA) extends an invitation to all sport science and sports medicine staff,(physiotherapists and physicians), coaches, sports development staff and technical officials to attend an Introduction to Para-Triathlon workshop.
The Seminar will be held in Sydney in conjunction with the 2012 ITU Dextro Energy World Triathlon Sydney race.
The seminar will involve a 3 hour session, focusing on:
• Introduction to Para-Triathlon
• Who can compete in Para-Triathlon
• Basic rules of Para-Triathlon
• The classification system for Para-triathlon.
Presenter: Marguerite Christophers, ITU Head of Para-Triathlon Classification.
Medical specialists (doctors and physiotherapists) and technical specialists (sport scientists/coaches) who attend this workshop have the opportunity to progress through to National Para-Triathlon classifier training following the attendance at this workshop.
