A group of 26 coaches assembled in the beautiful city of Port of Spain, Trinidad to attend an ITU Community Triathlon Coaching Course. The course was led by Alan Ley, ITU Sport Development Officer, and he was joined by Gale Bernhardt from the USA and Tracey Shelley of Canada on the teaching staff. The course ran over four days and the focus of the course was to prepare community coaches to teach grassroots and youth triathlon programmes. ITU’s global sponsor, BG Group, and the Triathlon federation of Trinidad and Tobago partnered with ITU in the presentation of this course.
