No, drafting is prohibited in this event to ensure safety and fairness. Athletes must maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) behind the cyclist in front, except when overtaking. You have 20 seconds to pass through the draft zone. Failure to comply may result in time penalties or disqualification.
For safety reasons, the use of headphones, earbuds, or any personal audio devices is strictly prohibited during all segments of the race, including the swim, bike, and run. Athletes found using such devices may face immediate disqualification.
Yes, wetsuit usage is determined by water temperature: - Below 68°F (20°C): Wetsuits are allowed and recommended. - Between 68°F and 78°F (20°C – 25.5°C): Wetsuits are optional. - Above 78°F (25.5°C): Wetsuits are prohibited due to overheating risks. The final decision on wetsuit legality will be announced on race morning after an official temperature measurement.
