World Triathlon

The city of Puerto Cortes is the second largest port in Central America and only 45 minutes away from San Pedro Sula the largest city in the country. Our venue is located in a very quiet bay, on the beach known as Playa Coca Cola or Playa Municipal, a favorite for families traveling during the summer season.

THIS EVENT WILL COMBINE THE JUNIOR AND ELITE EVENT THE SAME DAY with different start times. All event information will be published in this page.

The Course is very flat, and fast. The 1-lap swim has virtually no current, and few or no waves.
The 3-lap bike course is flat and somewhat technical, and the run is a 2 lap course, flat and very fast.

Airport Code - SAP - Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport. Daily flights arrive direct from Miami, Houston, Dallas, Mexico City, Madrid and other cities with connections.

Transportation - The organization will organize transportation to and from the airport to the host hotel for a Small Fee. We urge athletes to use the organized transportation for their safety and convenience. MORE INFORMATION ON TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS TBA. We are finalizing the details. Thank you for your patience.

HOMESTAYS - Homestays, a total of 10 spots will be provided by local athletes in San Pedro Sula for athletes needing 2 - 3 nights of stay. However, the homestays will NOT be available on Saturday or Sunday. Athletes using homestay will need to secure at least TWO night stay in Puerto Cortes. Please contact r_josue03@hotmail.com
