VISAS
• To enter Senegal, a valid passport (preferably only 3 months after the end of the stay) or a valid national identity card for ECOWAS nationals.
• The visa is also mandatory, except for nationals of ECOWAS countries and the European Union as well as countries bordering Senegal, who do not need a visa if they stay less than three months.
• For nationals of other countries, the visa is issued by embassies and consulates of Senegal in various countries of the world.
• Contact the nearest Senegal office with a valid passport and photo ID.

HEALTH
• The yellow fever vaccine is imperative. An international vaccination booklet with the yellow fever vaccine is recommended (presented at the airport upon arrival).
• Vaccines against hepatitis A and B are strongly recommended as well as anti-malarial treatment.
• For animals, a certificate of vaccination against rabies and a certificate of good health are required.

Customs formalities and tolerances
Senegal acceded to the New York Convention on Customs Facilities for Tourism. At the entrance, hunting weapons bearing marks of use can be imported free of duty for up to two weapons. An authorization from the Ministry of the Interior is required; the holder must pay license fees for hunting and carrying weapons.
