World Triathlon is looking to hire a Sport and Office Administration Assistant, based in the office in Lausanne, Switzerland. Interested candidates should send a CV and a cover letter to sport@triathlon.org before 5 June, 2026. 

Title: Sport and Office Administration Assistant 

Based at: Lausanne, Switzerland

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model possible (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Purpose of the role: The Sport and Office Administration Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Sport Department and assist with the day-to-day administration of the World Triathlon office in Lausanne. The role also supports the coordination of World Triathlon events’ logistics and the management of sport-related databases and communications.

Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)

Salary: Junior role - to be determined

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Coordinate communication with Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) regarding technical official assignments, information packages, and travel arrangements for the World Triathlon team.

  2. Liaise with International Technical Officials concerning assignments, travel arrangements, uniform distribution, expense reports, and event reports.

  3. Maintain and update the World Triathlon event calendar across websites and internal databases.

  4. Coordinate travel, accommodation, flight bookings, and accreditation for the World Triathlon team for World Triathlon events..

  5. Manage and distribute post-race reports and related documentation.

  6. Organize post-race conference calls and prepare meeting minutes.

  7. Support the Technical Delegates assessment process.

  8. Assist with the preparation and distribution of Technical Officials newsletters and webpage updates.

  9. Support the administration and financial operations of the Lausanne office.

  10. Provide general administrative assistance to the Sport Department as required.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in sports administration or a related field.

  • Knowledge of sport governance and the Olympic Movement.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.

  • Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken). Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods when required.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, close-knit international team environment.
