Hoy culminó la última Copa Regional de Desarrollo de la World Triathlon de este año. En esta oportunidad, Lima, Perú, fue nuevamente sede de la competencia regional de triatlón, que reunió a triatletas de las categorías Elite, U23 y Junior para cerrar el calendario regional de 2024.

En la categoría Elite, el peruano Arturo Salinas y la chilena Emilia Dabadie se consagraron ganadores de las medallas de oro. Por su parte, en las divisiones juveniles, Cristian Jansen, de Aruba, y nuevamente Emilia Dabadie, de Chile, obtuvieron el primer puesto. En la categoría U23, los campeones fueron Arturo Salinas y Naomi Espinoza, ambos representantes de Perú.

Previo a la jornada de la Copa, se realizó un Campamento de Desarrollo en Lima, destinado a reunir a atletas y entrenadores con el objetivo de llevar a cabo evaluaciones, intercambiar conocimientos y fomentar el desarrollo del triatlón de alto rendimiento en la región.

Tanto el campamento como la competencia del fin de semana concluyeron de manera exitosa, marcando el cierre del año competitivo para Americas Triathlon en el ámbito regional.

Felicitaciones a los ganadores y a todos los triatletas que participaron en esta última Copa Regional de Desarrollo de la World Triathlon 2024.

2024 World Triathlon Development Regional Cup Lima

The final World Triathlon Development Regional Cup of the year concluded today. On this occasion, Lima, Peru, once again hosted the regional triathlon competition, bringing together athletes from the Elite, U23, and Junior categories to close the 2024 regional calendar.

In the Elite category, Arturo Salinas of Peru and Emilia Dabadie of Chile claimed the gold medals. In the junior divisions, Cristian Jansen from Aruba and once again Emilia Dabadie of Chile took first place. In the U23 category, the champions were Arturo Salinas and Naomi Espinoza, both representing Peru.

Ahead of the race day, a Development Camp was held in Lima, bringing together athletes and coaches for evaluations, knowledge sharing, and training aimed at enhancing the growth of high-performance triathlon in the region.

Both the development camp and the weekend’s competition concluded successfully, marking the end of the competitive year for Americas Triathlon in the regional circuit.
