Triathlon Australia is a respected sporting federation with 8 affiliated state and territory triathlon associations which are official members of the national body, approximately 9,000 affiliated members and 180 affiliated triathlon clubs. The organisation seeks a Chief Executive who can make the running.

This appointment represents a vitally important strategic element in positioning Triathlon Australia as a leading, well managed and effective organisation with excellent corporate governance. Further, the successful candidate must ensure commercially viable and safe events are established for all 88,000 triathlon participants in Australia.

Reporting to the President of Triathlon Australia and Board, you will build, motivate and manage a service and membership focused organisation. You will achieve this through the effective leadership of a small team and collaboration with the community to develop and deliver on an exciting strategy and vision. Others admire your ability to develop and nurture sound and effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

You will bring outstanding leadership, relationship development and influencing capabilities as well as a solid understanding of contemporary corporate governance to the organisation. A consummate professional, you have excellent communication skills and are equally adept at being hands on and strategic in approach. In addition, you are respected for your financial management skills and commercial acumen.

Your genuine sporting affinity is supported by tertiary qualifications and a career to date which has been characterised by sound leadership and corporate governance, ideally in complex national organisations with a reliance on stakeholder engagement and empathy for voluntary participation.
