Throughout May, the World Triathlon Development and Education team continued to expand its global education initiatives with a series of Technical Officials Level 1 Seminars as a part of the World Triathlon Accredited Technical Officials’ Education Programme (ATOEP). Courses in Pardubice, Tashkent, and Salinas brought together over 60 participants from Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas, aiming to strengthen officiating capacity and promote gender inclusion across the sport. Each seminar combined theory and practical learning, supported by experienced facilitators and National Federation leaders. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to building a skilled, diverse, and professional network of Technical Officials worldwide.
After completing the accreditation (ATOEP = Accreditation of Technical Officials Education Programme) process, the first Czech Triathlon Association - World Triathlon Technical Officials Level 1 Seminar took place in Pardubice, in collaboration with the National Federation. The course welcomed 15 participants from across the Czech Republic, with a 40% female participation rate. This initiative supports the continued growth of a qualified and diverse officiating community within the region.
