Jintang, Chengdu - 10-13 October, 2023 - Six lucky participants had the undivided attention of two facilitators, Melody Tan and Adele Cheah at the recent 2023 World Triathlon Technical Officials and Event Organizers Level 2 Seminar held in Chengdu 10-13 October ahead of the 2023 World Triathlon Cup Chengdu.

The six participants were Weng Ying, Wang Bei, Chen Guodong, Yang Fei and Ma Rongke from China and Puspa Ranta Bajracharya from Nepal. They formed different teams each day to work through all the project plans to learn how to review documents as a Technical Delegate.

“After this level 2 Seminar, I developed a higher level of confidence.” said Puspa Ranta Bajracharya from Nepal.

“Through this L2 Course, I have a clearer understanding of the rules and the scale of responsibility. I think a TD must do all the preparatory work very carefully before every event. The seminar format was flexible and interesting and through the simulation of each plan, the understanding is clearer. Thank you very much for the two beautiful teachers.” said Weng Ying from China.

“As facilitators, we try our best to guide the participants using videos, group work and scenarios, often having discussions about past events to better understand how to make a decision,” said World Triathlon Faciltator Melody Tan.
