Salazar and Mari won in Mar del Plata Pan Am Duathlon

The athlete Mario Salazar of Mexico, was crowned today Pan American Champion of Duathlon of Standard Distance held at the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina. Following the Mexican duathlete, were Damian Gallina from Argentina and Alexander Gomes from Brazil who completed the podium with the silver medal and bronze.

In women elite, the winner was Sara Marí, followed by María Luján Soto and Maria Florencia Echegaray, all representatives from Argentina. It was an amazing day where 35 athletes showed the high level professionals that were 100% and provided an attractive sports entertainment for all viewers.The day was very windy, which caused some sections that athletes were very slow. On Sunday morning the age groups also played Pan American Duathlon Championships amateurs.

Mar del Plata was admitted again to the ITU circuit, scheduled for March Triathlon Pan American Cup.
