The Luxembourg Triathlon Federation (FLTri – Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Triathlon) has an opening for an assistant coach who is to aid the coach of the National Team for a definite period starting ideally on 15 September 2010 (or as soon as possible) and ending on 31 December 2012. A prolongation of the contract is possible.
The minimum working hours a week is 20 hours. Other arrangements but limited to 40 hours a week are possible.
Main tasks
• Assisting the national coach in the controlling, managing and coordinating all the national team tasks of the Federation in all levels
• Executing the tasks assigned by the national coach or by the Board of Directors
• Participation in the preparation of sports development and other coaching documents
• Participation in the preparation of the National Team Program and in the supervision of the programs’ execution
• Participating in the preparation of the National Team Program budget and in the supervision of the budget’s use
• Preparing the students’ program who are enrolled in the Sports-Etudes educational structure and supervising its execution
• Participating in the coordination and monitoring of the work of coaches of federated triathlon clubs and giving them support
• Participating in the preparation and organization of training camps, tours and trips to international competitions of the National Team and of the Sport-Etudes students
• Attending international and national events where the National Team and/or the Sports-Etudes students participate
• Upon request with the Board of Director or after getting their approval, attending international and national triathlon events where the National Team and/or the Sports-Etudes students are not directly concerned
• Participating in the promotion of the triathlon and duathlon sport in general
• Participation in the coordination of performance evaluation tests of the National Team and the Sports-Etudes students
• Taking part in the follow-up of medical control of the National Team and the Sports-Etudes students, this activity covers the elaboration, evaluation and documentation of the results of the various tests
• Following with attention up-to-date training methods, scientific publications of the sport and facilitating their application in practice
• Liaising with other National coaches/assistant coaches and other experts
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in sports education and management
• ITU level 2 equivalent license
• Prior experience with sports leadership with similar missions preferably in a triathlon environment
• Computer skills
• Languages (English, German or French)
• Draft of a technical program (a maximum of 10 pages – Times New Roman 12 )
Location
• Luxembourg-City, Luxembourg House of Sports / Sport-Etudes / INS and sports infrastructures
• Occasionally, venues of competitions and events throughout the country and abroad
