Our Technical Delegate has just sent out this important update.

Dear friends,

due to the forecast hot temperatures for race day, the planned start times of the event have been adjusted to be 90mins earlier.

The WBGT temperatures are well within limits due to low humidity, however, the ambient temperature is expected to be 35C. Strong breeze anticipated.

• The Men's event will now start at 07:00
• The Women's event will now start at 11:00.

This has been agreed with the LOC and communicated to municipality and all arrangements will be made to accommodate this change.

• The start time for the team relay on Sunday is unchanged at 10:00.

I will make further announcements at the bike and swim familiarisations and of course in the athletes' briefing.
