The last month of 2021 hosted a series of World Triathlon Education courses and Development camps.
The Tokyo Olympic Cycle for the ASICS World Triathlon Team was closed at the end of 2021 and World Triathlon Development will launch the ASICS World Triathlon Team projects for 2022 once the calendar is finalised. In the events selection, World Triathlon will consider the Olympic Qualification principles, the needs of our athletes and how we can maximise the success of the programme in the Paris Olympic Cycle.

With regards to World Triathlon coaching education, online courses were hosted in America, in December, in Spanish and English.
A World Triathlon Coaches Level 1 Course was delivered on December 15 in Cheile Gradistei, Romania. The course aimed to provide an opportunity for Technical Officials, nominated by their National Federation, to achieve a L1 Technical Official qualification.
A World Triathlon Development Continental Camp was hosted on December 18 in Manama, Bahrain. This camp targeted countries in West Asia and was a talent identification opportunity for Team Asia and also introduced West Asian Athletes to the development and education process, provided by World Triathlon.
Following the 2021 Americas Triathlon Cup Salinas a World Triathlon Technical Officials Seminar was staged on December 9 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The one and a half day course provided the participants with the theoretical and practical training required to make them capable of officiating at National Events as a Technical Delegate and at Continental events as a Technical Official.
World Triathlon Development and Education launched its Mentee Recruitment, for the second delivery of its World Triathlon Mentorship Programme. Since the introduction of the World Triathlon Mentorship Programme in August 2020, World Triathlon has trained more than 100 Mentees. World Triathlon are now calling for new Mentees, who could benefit from the program.
