Peter Robertson has amazing won yet another ITU triathlon world championship. In a performance that blew away the competitors and the crowd alike, Robbo added another title to his previous two world championships in 2003 in Queenstown and 2001 in Edmonton.
A large bike pack of 30 + came off the bike to enter the 10 km run segment and it was Peter Robertson who was immediately into the lead on the run. The strong Australian who only got into the world championships after being the second Australian substitute stormed home to victory to hold off Reto Hug (SUI) and fellow Australian Brad Kahlefeldt who took the bronze medal.
It was yet another close race in am amazing day for the Australians who claimed two gold medals, with Emma Snowsill winning the elite womens race.
