To get you chuffed to cheer on the paratriathletes in Rio this weekend, here’s a preview of what’s in store by the numbers. Remember to follow along on September 10-11 from 10am BRT. 

365 – Days paratriathletes had to qualify for the Paralympic games

100 – Percentage of ITU World Paratriathlon Events Katie Kelly, Martin Schulz and Jetze Plat have won

60 – Paratriathletes competing in Rio for the first time

31 – Men lining up on Copacabana

29 – Women debuting in triathlon at the Paralympics

18 – National Paralympic Committees represented on the start list

7 – National Paralympic Committees with one athlete racing

6 – Gold medals will be awarded on September 10-11

5 – World Championship titles Billy Chaffey has won in the men’s PT1 sport class – the most of any paratriathlete ever
