World Triathlon

On Thursday, February 21st, 2017 RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs organized meeting with representatives of 3 national sport federations – triathlon, taekwondo and basketball. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the issue of sport popularization. 

RA Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan discussed the need for studying the development and promotion of sports through the sport potential of RA regions. G. Ghazaryan told that federations should work towards promotion of sports popularization with joint efforts. Deputy Minister recommended that Federations should work on developing sport popularization action plans.

Some representatives offered to include examples of eminent athletes, others suggested having professional coaches from corresponding sports in regions. Also federations’ representatives discussed the possibility of recovering the secondary schools sport sources and sport fields as a basis of popularizing sport and organizing sport trainings for schools.
