EXCITING TRIATHLON SPORT IN WELS

After the first Europe Triathlon Junior Cup last year, the National Championships will also take place in Wels this year. As a cycling-friendly city on the Traun River with
many beautiful running courses, Wels has the perfect facilities for this. With such high-calibre international events, the advertising drum for the sport of triathlon
will also be beaten in our city. And perhaps the young spectators of today are the participants of tomorrow!
Wels is constantly striving to create perfect opportunities for sports practice together with the sports clubs. Be it for high-performance sports or for mass sports, which
form the basis for many top sporting performances. Only good work with young talents and a good offer for mass sports will also produce top athletes who are internationally successful.
This is what the city of Wels stands for, and this is why we have maintained a positive and constructive exchange with the sports clubs for years. Through these youth sports
events, we make it possible for future competitive and also professional athletes to compete nationally and internationally and to compare their performance. And hopefully we will interest watching young
people from Wels in the sport of triathlon and hope for talents from our city who will compete in these events in the future.
The most interesting thing about this event is that it can be watched by spectators almost all the time, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The start will be in the water of
the Traun, then we will change to the completely closed bike course through Wels, and finally there will be the run course, which will lead in several laps through the Burggarten via the old town to the city square and through the Ledererturm.
