2020 New Plymouth ITU Triathlon World Cup

The 2020 New Plymouth ITU Triathlon World Cup is a sprint distance triathlon - 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.  The event will be held at Ngamotu Beach and the surrounding scenic roads of Taranaki. The 2020 event will be part of a Triathlon Festival with the NZ Sprint Distance Championships and WIL Sport Oceania Team Relay Championships on the Sunday after the World Cup.

18:00 Elite athlete briefing at Plymouth International Hotel - only ONE representative from each country may attend

Friday March 27th
09:00   Elite cycle course orientation. One lap of cycle course with Police escort, departing from Ngamotu Beach/transition area. 
10:30   Swim course familiarisation with life guard support

ITU Elite Women Race Program
14:30 – 15:20 Elite women check in and registration at Athletes lounge
14:50 - 15:35 Transition Area open for Elite Woman
15:05 - 15:35 Swim warm up for Elite Woman
15:40 Elite Women athlete assembly and introduction in front of Finish Gantry
15:50 Elite Women Race Start
18:50 Medal presentations (following Elite Men’s race)
