Spain’s Susana Rodriguez was born with albinism, and. She began running at age 10, before being attracted to the other two disciplines of triathlon. In 2013, she was named Athlete of the Year from the city of Vigo, Spain.
Susana started her paratriathlon career in 2010, winning ITU World Championship Series gold in London and then again the following year in Madrid.
After representing her country at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games, where she placed 5th, Susana went on to earn back-to-back world titles at the 2018 ITU Grand Final Gold Coast and 2019 Grand Final Lausanne.
