The LA 2028 Olympic cycle got underway with the first World Triathlon Championship Series race of the year on an all-new WTCS Abu Dhabi course, and with Lisa Tertsch wearing the number one and leading a stellar line up of Germans, it was down to the likes of Leonie Periault, Kate Waugh, Rosa Maria Tapia and Gwen Jorgensen to try and halt their charge.
