The season then shifted to the mountains for the unforgettable World Triathlon Winter Championships.
Against a spectacular alpine backdrop, 261 Age-Group athletes from 20 countries embraced the unique demands of winter triathlon. Racing across snow and ice, competitors showcased adaptability, resilience and a spirit of adventure that defines this discipline.
A powerful start in Duathlon - Alsdorf, Germany
The World Triathlon Middle Distance Duathlon World Championships opened the 2025 season with a true test of endurance and tactical racing.
Staged in Germany, the event brought together 338 Age-Group athletes from 21 countries, setting the tone for a year defined by international representation and competitive excellence. The middle-distance format rewarded grit, discipline and smart pacing, hallmarks of elite Age-Group duathlon racing.
Endurance and legacy at Zofingen, Switzerland
Few races command the respect of the World Triathlon Powerman Long Distance Duathlon Championships, and 2025 was no exception.
With 158 Age-Group athletes representing 19 countries, the iconic Swiss course delivered one of the most demanding tests of the season. Zofingen once again proved that long-distance duathlon is as much about mental strength as physical endurance.
A Multisport extravaganza in Pontevedra, Spain
Europe’s Age-Group calendar highlight arrived with the World Triathlon Multisport Age-Group Championships.
The historic city of Pontevedra welcomed 3,142 Age-Group athletes from 46 countries, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere both on and off the course. Packed grandstands, passionate local support and thrilling finishes made this Multisport Championships memorable.
A historic World Championships in Wollongong, Australia
The global Age-Group community then turned its attention to Australia for the World Triathlon Age-Group Championships, the pinnacle of World Triathlon Age-Group racing.
Wollongong delivered a landmark event, welcoming 3,645 Age-Group athletes from 45 countries. The championships also highlighted the sport’s continued progress, with a strong 55% men and 45% women participation split. Coastal racing, electric crowds and a celebration of inclusivity defined an unforgettable championship.
A global finale at the T100 in Qatar
The 2025 season concluded in spectacular style with the T100 Triathlon Age-Group World Championships.
Held alongside the T100 Triathlon World Tour, the event brought together 259 Age-Group athletes from an incredible 46 countries. Racing on a truly global stage, Age-Group competitors demonstrated the depth, ambition and future-facing evolution of the sport.
