World Triathlon has announced the Technical Officials appointed for two major games on the 2026 calendar - the Dakar 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games and the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games. These appointments recognise the expertise, experience, and dedication of Technical Officials from across the World Triathlon family.
Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games
The Dakar 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games will take place from 31 October to 13 November 2026 in Senegal. The Games represent a historic milestone as the first Olympic event ever held on the African continent. Dakar 2026 will also be the first Youth Olympic Games to achieve strict 50-50 gender equality across every sport and event, reinforcing the Olympic Movement's commitment to gender equality in sport. The triathlon events will be staged in the coastal resort town of Saly, with the sprint-distance races taking place on Saly Beach. The men's event is scheduled for 5 November, followed by the women's event on 6 November 2026.

Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games
The Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026 will be held from 21 August to 3 September 2026 in Taranto, Italy. The Games will host more than 4,000 athletes from 26 nations competing across 28 sports. While Taranto will serve as the principal host city, events will be staged across 14 municipalities throughout the Puglia region. The triathlon venue will showcase the beauty and history of the city, with courses passing landmarks including the Mar Piccolo, the Aragonese Castle, and the Vittorio Emanuele III Seafront. The triathlon programme includes the Elite Men's and Elite Women's Individual Sprint races on 29 August 2026, followed by the Mixed Relay on 1 September 2026.
