The International Triathlon Union is responsible for all Technical Delegate appointments for ITU races in conjunction with their Regional Federations.

The Oceania Triathlon Union Council has endorsed these appointments.

These appointments are made as per the 'ITU Technical Appointment Policy'

ITU wherever possible look to appoint the role of Technical Delegate from a country in the region other than that of the host country in which the race occurs.

The Assistant Technical Delegate & the Race Referee can be from the Host country from suitably qualified technical officials.
