Team World Triathlon sets up for their season finale at the 2025 World Cup Tongyeong

Team World Triathlon has arrived in Tongyeong for the final race of their 2025 season, lining up at the iconic World Triathlon Cup Korea with pride and purpose. This year’s team features a dynamic mix of emerging talent from across the globe: Tzu I Pan (TPE), Rashif Amila Yaqin (INA), Tjasa Vrtacic (SLO), Martina Ayu Pratiwi (INA) and Manami Iijima OLY (GUM), the only Olympian on the team in Tongyeong. For Martina Ayu Pratiwi, this event marks her first-ever inclusion in Team World Triathlon, a milestone long in the making. The team is delighted to welcome her into the fold. As this is the first year of the new Olympic cycle, World Triathlon is closely monitoring a wide pool of athletes, identifying those with LA 2028 potential and beyond.

The group is mentored onsite by Ognjen Stojanovic, a Serbian professional athlete who formerly progressed through the Team World Triathlon pathway himself and now returns to Tongyeong in a guiding role, a powerful full circle moment for the programme. The team is supported this week by Zita Csovelyak, Head of World Triathlon Member Services and Development, who continues to champion global development pathways and hands on opportunities for rising athletes. As the athletes prepare for their final race of the season in Korea, they carry the drive of a year defined by progress, learning and international experience, ready to finish strong on Korean soil.
