The men’s race delivered a thrilling contest from the very start. Ilya Prasolov emerged from the water first after a fast 1.9 km swim in 23:33, closely followed by Denis Vasilev and Nikolay Yaroshenko. The leading group remained at the front for much of the race.

Vasilev recorded the fastest time in the first transition zone and then dominated the 90 km bike leg, completing it in 1:51:42. His strong performance gave him a decisive lead of more than three minutes heading into the run.

However, in the final running segment, Prasolov overtook the leader to claim the title of Russian Middle-Distance Champion.

The women’s race was equally intense and dynamic. Alexandra Razarenova, Anastasia Gorbunova, and Inna Sysoeva were the first athletes out of the water and continued their battle on the bike course.

The three leaders rode together for most of the bike leg, but on the final lap Razarenova and Gorbunova broke away, opening a five-minute gap over Sysoeva. Gorbunova was first out of the second transition zone, but Razarenova showed greater strength on the run. She not only caught her rival but also pulled ahead to win the Russian Middle-Distance Championship.
