Pontevedra (Galicia, Spain) is set to host what promises to be the most spectacular edition of the World Triathlon Multisport Championships from 20 to 29 June 2025. Having already raised the bar in 2019 when it last hosted this prestigious event, Pontevedra reaffirmed its world-class credentials by staging the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Finals. Now, the city will once again become the global epicentre of multisport, welcoming athletes for six thrilling disciplines:

All races will be staged in and around Pontevedra, with routes taking in the city’s stadium, the iconic Los Tirantes Bridge, and the picturesque Lérez River. The Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon events will be held at the Pontillón do Castro reservoir in Verducido—an area celebrated for its natural beauty and optimal race conditions. As always, the Championships will place athletes of all levels at the heart of the action. Age group athletes from over 60 countries will race alongside more than 300 elite competitors, each striving for their place in triathlon history. The largest delegations will come from Spain, the United States, Great Britain, Portugal, Brazil and Australia, with thousands of spectators lining the streets in support.
