Padola ready to host 2026 World Triathlon Age-Group Winter Championships

The stage is set in the Italian Dolomites as Padola welcomes the world’s best winter triathletes for the 2026 World Triathlon Winter Championships, with three days of racing set to deliver speed, endurance and alpine spectacle.

Following a special Opening Ceremony, athletes from across the globe are ready to tackle snow-covered courses in one of the sport’s most scenic venues. Nestled in the Val Comelico region, Padola provides a spectacular mountain backdrop and demanding terrain for the 2026 World Triathlon Winter Triathlon and Winter Duathlon Championships. 

Racing opened on Friday with the Elite, U23 and Junior Winter Duathlon World Championships, setting the tone for a packed weekend of competition. Check out the race report.

Saturday: Triathlon showdowns and Age-Group Duathlon titles
Saturday brings the Elite, U23 and Junior Winter Triathlon World Championships, alongside the Age-Group and Para Winter Duathlon races. Start lists are here.

Sunday: Mixed Relay excitement and Age-Group world titles
The weekend concludes on Sunday with the fast-paced Elite and Junior 2x2 Mixed Relay, followed by the Age-Group and Para Winter Triathlon World Championships.

Winter triathlon replaces swimming with cross-country skiing, combining running, mountain biking and skiing across snow covered terrain to test strength, endurance and technical skill.
