Nirvana Europe welcomed as ETU Official Travel Partner

The European Triathlon Union and Nirvana Europe are delighted to announce a partnership to benefit the triathlon community in Europe. Nirvana Europe, through this partnership, will become the Official Travel, Accommodation and Logistics Partner for ETU.

With this arrangement both ETU and Nirvana Europe seek to provide optimum travel, accommodation and transfer arrangements for the range of triathlon competitors (Elite to Age-Group), officials and supporters taking part in ETU races in Europe. These would include the full range of Championships and European Cup events. Nirvana Europe will put contracts in place with a range of hotels in a given venue and include all necessary arrangements for such things as bike storage, information boards, special meals etc.

Nirvana Europe will put together a range of packages ranging from an accommodation only facility, but with options to add the following services:

  • Flight booking including bike reservations
  • Airport meet and greet and transfer to hotel
  • Transfers between hotel and event related activities
  • Services of bike mechanics, masseurs etc.

This will take the onus away from the organisers and provide a ‘one-stop shop’ provided by experts in the field.

Nirvana Europe is a sports-based travel company licensed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority for the sale of flight inclusive travel arrangements. The company has partnered the British Triathlon Federation for ten years providing similar services to British Age-Group and Elite teams. Many other European athletes have begun to use the excellent service provided as Nirvana Europe have become recognised on the European Triathlon circuit.

Jem Lawson, ETU Secretary General said: “This has all the potential to be a first class service which will take much of the pressure from National Federations, Local Organising Committees, individual athletes and supporters and allow them to concentrate on their core interests and activities. It’s symptomatic of the interest being shown by commercial organisations in the fast developing and buoyant sport that is triathlon. We are delighted to have Nirvana as a commercial partner”.

Philip Schaedler, ETU President said “I am looking forward to our new partnership with Nirvana Europe which will help to ease travelling for athletes and officials alike to all of our events across Europe. Nirvana Europe's vast experience with the travel needs of triathletes makes it the ideal travel partner for ETU and its complex travel arrangements”.

Ken Morris, Managing Director of NE said “ As a company we are absolutely delighted to form this partnership with the ETU, which clearly helps us to grow as a company, but which we believe will add value to ETU events by simplifying and streamlining the process of attending events for athletes, supporters and officials.”
