Member Services Open Hours April 2025

Thank you to everyone who joined the second edition of the 2025 Members Open Hour Series on Wednesday 9 April. We hope to welcome those who couldn’t attend next time!

What was covered in the session?

Antonio F. Arimany, World Triathlon President, opened with a warm welcome and a summary of recent developments. He outlined the participation process for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar and emphasised the importance of collaboration between National Federations (NFs) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs). He also reminded members to complete the 2025 membership requirements by 1 May.

Mike Wein, Chair of the Global Triathlon Safety Task Force (GTSTF), presented the group’s mission—“Save One Life”—and its efforts to reduce fatalities, serious injuries, and emergencies in triathlon. He shared key achievements and future safety plans.

Dr Humberto Aguilar, Chair of the Medical Committee, discussed expanding Pre-Participation Evaluation (PPE) safety protocols from elite to Age-Group (AG) athletes.

Olalla Cernuda, Head of Communications, launched the “Monday Morning Mix” and invited members to share updates by emailing mediateam@triathlon.org.
