One of ITU’s Anti-doping team members is in Montreal for WADA Education Committee meetings which will take place on October 14 and 15. Leslie Buchanan, a WADA Education member since January 2010, is attending her first meeting as a committee member. A number of different topics are going to be discussed including Social Science Research programmes to be selected for research grants, current WADA Educational initiatives and 2011 priorities.
Leslie will be joined by over a dozen anti-doping specialists from the sport and government world, as well as WADA Education staff. Leslie will be discussing ITU’s own Education plans for 2011 and how ITU plans on incorporating WADA’s own programmes into ITU’s overall educational plan.
