For the first time in Kazan’s sporting history, the Russian Triathlon Championship was held over the Middle Distance, featuring a 1.93 km swim, a 90 km cycling leg, and a 21.1 km run, as well as the Olympic distance of 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run.

The races took athletes through some of the most picturesque and iconic locations in Tatarstan’s capital.

Kazan also hosted the Ironstar Kazan Timerman Cup 2022 sports festival, supported by the Russian Triathlon Federation. According to the organizers, around 1,800 participants from 56 regions and 155 cities crossed the finish line in the festival’s various disciplines.
