Ones to watch
The 19-deep elite women’s field features a compelling blend of established champions and rising talent features a dynamic mix of established champions and rising stars. Olympic gold medallist Gwen Jorgensen (USA) headlines the race as she returns to World Triathlon competition following recent surgery, arriving in Dubai with renewed focus and the race craft that has defined her career. The compact one-lap swim and punchy two-lap run play directly into her strengths, positioning her as a standout favourite.
Close behind in the predictions is Valentina Riasova (AIN), who could dictate the early pace. Riasova claimed victory in the 2025 World Triathlon Cup Miyazaki and had a strong fifth place result in 2025 World Triathlon Cup Tongyeong. If she can force separation from the outset, Riasova could shape the race long before the run. Margot Garabedian (CAM) is another athlete expected to standout and could disrupt the field and create crucial early gaps.
Spain enters with a formidable pairing in Noelia Juan and Alejandra Seguí Soria. Juan’s strength lies in her bike-run consistency, an asset on Dubai’s fast four-lap circuit, while rising star Seguí Soria continues her climb through the Elite ranks, having raced consistently in recent World Triathlon Cups in Miyazaki and Tongyeong.
These top athletes headline a field poised for a fiercely contested sprint-distance battle where every second counts and every transition will matter on the World Triathlon blue carpet.
