Dmitry Polyansky, a 37-year-old native of Zheleznogorsk, has been appointed head coach of the Russian National Triathlon Team. He first joined the national team in 2003 and ended his athletic career in 2023 after competing at the Russian Championships. The appointment was announced by the Russian Triathlon Federation.

D. Polyansky thanked the Ministry of Sports, the Russian Triathlon Federation, and its president, Ksenia Shoygu, for their trust. He said that, just as being selected for the national team was once an honor as an athlete, this new coaching role is also a significant recognition of his professionalism and a responsible new stage in his career.

D. Polyansky is one of the most decorated triathletes in Russia. He is an Honored Master of Sports, a four-time Olympian, a World Relay Champion, and a European Junior Champion. He has also won World Cup stages and multiple international and national titles.
