Diana Isakova Takes Victory in Kursk Triathlon Event

Triathlon combines three disciplines: running, swimming, and cycling. The distances are demanding: women complete 5 km of running, 350 meters of swimming, and 20 km of cycling, while men cover twice that distance.

“A total of 140 athletes from several regions took part in the competition,” said Alexey Petukhov, Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Kursk Region. “We plan to establish a Kursk Triathlon School in Kurchatov so that our local athletes can also compete at a high level and represent our region with pride in such events.”

Among the women, Diana Isakova took first place. “The course was very tough today, especially the swimming and cycling stages. The running leg made the difference and helped me secure the win,” the athlete said.
