The 2007 Troutbeck ATU African Triathlon Cup event will return to the site of the 2006 African Triathlon Championships. Situated 250km east of Harare, Zimbabwe, Troutbeck Inn is a picturesque 2 star hotel with 75 rooms set in the Eastern Highlands of the country.

Sponsored by Stanbic Bank, a full commitment by Triathlon Zimbabwe, their Sponsor and Zim Sun Leisure (who own Troutbeck) has been made to make the athletes stay and race a top class event.

A course in a Malaria-free area of the country owing to its altitude of +1700m above sea level means also that temperatures in November by day will reach +/-30ºC.

The swim will take place in one of the two trout dams infront of the hotel. Expect a clean, safe, disease-free swim - possibly a wet suit swim. The cycle constitutes of a hilly 37.5km course on a good tar surface. The run is also a hilly 4 lap course set within the Hotel grounds.
