The ATU Annual General Meeting was held on 8th May 2010 in Durban, South Africa. Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, South Africa, Tunisia and Zimbabwe were present at the event. The meeting was held before the African Championships, as many of the delegates were also attending the event with their teams and athletes.

At the elections Kenya was welcomed as an additional member while the meeting decided that the 2011 African Triathlon Cup and African Triathlon Championships would be hosted from the end of March to May to promote athlete participation in the ITU international events.
