I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration Stargard in 1981. I work as a Wellness officer in Cape Town.
I started Para Duathlon in 2013. I won a gold medal at World Champs in Canada in august 2013. I suffered an injury at the event and had to lay off running for a year. in 2016 I donated a kidney, and returned to Para triathlon in late 2017. In 2018 I won SA Para champs,but couldn’t continue due to financial constraints. In 2019 I won a gold medal a Africa Para champs in Mauritius. Financial constrains hampered me in continue participating. A complication from the kidney donation placed a temporary lay off on participating in more events.
