Sophie was introduced into triathlon at age 12 by her swimming coach at the time after successful cross country/ track seasons in primary school sport. It wasn’t until 2013 when Sophie made her first Australian Junior Elite Team to compete at the World Championships in London. Since London worlds, Sophie has continued to develop as triathlete competing on the world cup circuit. In 2016 Sophie was a part of a bronze medal winning junior/ u23 mixed relay at the World Championships in Cozumel, Mexico. In 2016 Sophie was also the Australian Junior Triathlon Champion and posted world junior qualifying times for the 5000m track running.
