Brian Campbell

  • Ireland
  • Born: 1976

My sporting background is all swimming orientated. I joined Larne in 1984 to learn how to swim before taking it up more competitively. I am a former Ulster record holder over 50m and 100m Breastroke in addition to the 4x200m FC relay and was a member of both the Ulster swim squad for 7 years and Irish National Squad (4 years). I retired from competitive swimming around 1998 as I was going backwards and no longer had the motivation.
From 1998 to 2001 I took up bike racing but never really had any major placings.
My running background is a bit limited. I ran the odd 1500m or 3000m race for my school with any training and was a member of Larne Athletic Club in 1989.
