Anastasiya discovered triathlon at the age of nine and was born and supported in Ukraine. She joined the Russian Federation in 2007 following her marriage to Dmitry Polyansky. Having missed one season during the birth of their child, she now lives in Penza and studies at the Polytechnical State University there.
