Walsh is partially-sighted. She competed in Pentathlon at the Paralympics. Winning bronze in this competition from Sydney in 2000 remains one of her most treasured memories. She has competed in every Paralympic Games since Barcelona 92, Rio will be her first in Paratriathlon.
