
Huafrid Billimoria is an Indian para-athlete, endurance athlete and an Ironman PC Category Winner based in Mumbai, India. Born with Dystonia, Severe Learning Disabilities and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), he has turned his challenges into his greatest source of strength, becoming one of India’s leading voices for inclusion through sport.
He has graduated from the best schools and colleges with a double master's in Disability Studies and Clinical Psychology despite only being given hope for a special needs school.
Paralympics would just be a feather in his cap with the magnanimous impact he wants to create for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in an ever-changing India. He is ready to put his life on the line for the same.
Sports Accomplishments and Career Highlights:-
• Huafrid is the FIRST individual with dystonia in the world to swim 10 km in open waters back to back in a year.
• He's the FASTEST PERSON with dystonia to complete a Full Ironman.
• FIRST Person with a disability in the world to bag 3 ironman podiums in the PC Category.
• FASTEST INDIAN with a disability to complete a half and full ironman.
• He is only the second Indian with a disability and the second in the entire world with dystonia to complete an Ironman.
• Huafrid is also the FIRST PERSON in the WORLD with Dystonia to swim for 12 hours nonstop covering 17.3 km plus in that span.
• The first Para Tri-athlete to bag an Asian championship Podium, creating history for India as it was the first for the country.
• The first para athlete in the country to win the nationals in Triathlons and cycling, with a chance of Qualifying for both in the Paralympics LA28 which is as rare as a needle in a haystack.
•One of the first Indian triathletes to score world triathlon points and get a world ranking.
