The 2025 World Triathlon Championship Series began on an all-new Hudayriat Island course at WTCS Abu Dhabi, and in the heat of the UAE the athletes delivered a scintillating curtain-raiser that all boiled down to a two-way shootout between two nailed-on world title contenders this year! Olympic silver medallist Hayden Wilde wanted to get his campaign off to a strong start, but the likes of Vasco Vilaça, Morgan Pearson, Matt Hauser and newcomers Henry Graf and David Cantero would all be threats in the desert.
