World Triathlon is pleased to confirm further events on the 2025 season calendar. WTCS Weihai, the Chengdu World Cup, Para Cup Tata and Para Cup Alhandra will return to the circuit next year. Get ready! The season will get underway earlier than ever in early February, and the calendar is packed with red hot races to give our athletes superb stages on which to shine.
Weihai will be returning to the World Triathlon Championship Series after their successful debut last year, with athletes visiting the challenging Chinese course on 26 September. It will be one of the latest stops of the circuit before the Wollongong Championship Finals, which will take place on Australia’s east coast in October.
The WTCS season will start slightly earlier than initially announced, with the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Series and Para Cup Abu Dhabi now taking place on 8-9 February.
China will also host a World Triathlon Cup this season, with Chengdu confirmed to make its return to the circuit on 10 May 2025
The Para triathlon calendar has two more events confirmed for 2025, both of them making returns to the schedule. Tata, Hungary, will again welcome Para Cup action on 19 July, while Alhandra, in Portugal, will host a Para Cup on 6 September.
World Triathlon is committed to making the events and the season calendar as sustainable as possible. This commitment not only reflects the organisation’s values but also enhances the overall experience for athletes and fans alike, ensuring that the events leave a positive impact on our host communities.
The 2025 World Triathlon season promises to be a remarkable journey, showcasing the pinnacle of triathlon through the WTCS, culminating in the World Championship Finals in Australia. Following a thrilling Olympic year, the stage is once again set for the athletes to shine in a packed and sustainable calendar of events.
