The World Triathlon family is incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Haarsma, long serving technical official from Australia and one of the most valued members of our triathlon community.
Michael Haarsma was dedicated, committed to our sport, efficient and a friendly face in all races where he officiated. He will be terribly missed. Comments and messages, filled with emotion from those who knew Michael and crossed paths with him on the triathlon circuit, are flooding in from all around the world. Our most sincere condolences to his family, friends, Triathlon Australia and the World Triathlon community.
