World Triathlon is proud to announce the 23 talented athletes vying for a seat on the 2025 Athletes’ Committee, a crucial body representing the voice of athletes within the International Federation. The candidates include 18 elite athletes and 5 para triathletes, representing diverse backgrounds, continents, and levels of experience. Voting will start on September 15, 2025.
This distinguished group comprises athletes from all continents, with a balanced gender representation—12 women and 11 men. On the list there are athletes from smaller national federations, Olympic medallists, Olympians, Paralympic medallists, Paralympians and emerging stars, reflecting the richness and diversity of our athlete community.

As per the election rules, the Athletes’ Committee is composed of 10 members, with specific criteria to ensure diversity and representation:
- A maximum of 5 athletes of the same gender
- At least one representative from each of the five Continental Confederations
- Two Para triathletes, each from different genders
- Eight Elite athletes, with no more than four from the same gender
The elected Committee members will then select their Chair and Vice-Chair, ensuring representation from two different continental regions and genders, respectively.

Election Timeline
- August 1, 2025: Nomination process begins.
- August 31, 2025: Deadline for nominations submission.
- September 15, 2025: Online, anonymous voting opens for eligible athletes.
- October 17, 2025: Voting closes.
- October 19, 2025: Results announced on triathlon.org.
