Oceania Triathlon Welcomes New Leadership Team to Drive Strategic Growth
Oceania Triathlon is excited to announce the appointment of three key leaders as we enter the second year of our ambitious four-year strategy.
Following a comprehensive recruitment process, Alice Adams joins as Secretary General, while Stephen Damien and Ray Reupena take on pivotal roles as Regional Development Coordinators, leading the West and East Hubs respectively.
Oceania Triathlon President, Pete de Wet, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointments:
“We had significant interest in all three positions, and I’m delighted with the caliber of talent we’ve secured. These appointments position us strongly to deliver on our strategic objectives.”
Pete also acknowledged the contributions of outgoing leaders:
“I want to thank Jacqui Kenny, our outgoing Continental Coordinator, for her passion and commitment over the past 18 months. Jacqui is a true triathlon stalwart who has worked tirelessly to see both people and the sport thrive.”
“I also extend my gratitude to Cathi Davey, who served as Secretary General until September. Cathi’s long-standing association with triathlon and the energy she brought to the role have been greatly appreciated.”
All three new team members will officially commence their roles in January 2026 on three-year fixed-term contracts.
As Oceania Triathlon looks ahead, these appointments mark a significant step toward strengthening our regional presence and delivering on our vision to inspire a love for triathlon across Oceania. With a renewed leadership team and a clear strategic roadmap, we are committed to growing participation, supporting our national federations, and showcasing world-class performance throughout the region.
